Curtis S. Woodward
Rutland Daily Herald, Oct. 17, 1911:
Curtis S. Woodward of No. 84 Plain street, died at his home at 12:10 o'clock yesterday noon of a complication of diseases. He had been ill for two weeks. Mr. Woodward was a member of First Vermont cavalry in the Civil war, and at the time of his death a member of Roberts post, G.A.R. He had lived in Rutland for 43 years, and for many years had been employed at the Howe Scale company's plant. Before that he had worked in railroad shops.
He was 71 years old, and is survived by his wife, and three daughters, Mrs. M.H. Mason of Missoula, Mont., Mrs. Charles Dunton of Cincinnati, O., and Miss Ella M. Woodward of this city.
The funeral will be held at the house at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
