The funeral of Francis Young, who died Sept. 17, after an illness of over a year, was held Monday, at the church of the Holy Cross. The Rev. P. E. Boivin officiated, and burial was in the Catholic cemetery in Hyde Park beside his wife, who died about five years ago.

Mr. Young was born in Canada, June 20, 1830, but had lived in this town nearly his whole life. He was a Civil War veteran, having served in the cavalry. He had been cared for at the home of Nellie Russell on High Street for several months, He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Sherman, of Lisbon, N.H., who was called here by her father's death. In the death of Mr. Young Morristown loses one of its oldest residents.
