Obituary

IRA BATCHELDER HURT BY
FALL ON ICE

PLAINFIELD --- Ira Batchelder met with a serious accident last Saturday afternoon. He had just called upon an old comrade, Ervin Nye, who is ill. As he came away from the house, he slipped on the ice, breaking his leg. “Uncle Ira” is 87 years old, and we fear he will be confined to his home for some time.
