Robert McLaughlin, aged 60, a veteran of the Civil War of 1861-5, died Tuesday after a lingering illness. A widow survives him. Funeral Thursday at the house.

Vergennes -- Robert McLaughlin, aged 60, died at an early hour Tuesday morning from pneumonia. He was a Civil War veteran, and a member of Ethan Allen Post, G.A.R.

Vergennes -- Mrs. Robert McLaughlin has had a monument erected in Prospect cemetery in memory of her husband, Robert E., and her son, Seymour McLaughlin. It is a granite marble of Gothic design, and very appropriate.
