Death of Capt. Beebe. We learn with sorrow that a dispatch from Quartermaster Sawyer, of the 9th Vermont Regiment, from Winchester, announces the death of Capt. Geo. A. Beebe, of this place, captain of the Chittenden County Company of the 9th. No particulars are given by the dispatch beyond the statement that his body will be sent home for interment. Captain Beebe was an earnest and patriotic young man and bade fair to distinguish himself in the service.

The remains of Capt. George A. Beebe arrived in town Wednesday night by the N.Y. train. They were received and escorted by a procession of our citizens to the Town Hall, where they remained during the night, and on Friday morning were removed to his native place, Highgate, leaving by the 9 o'clock train. They were accompanied to the place of final interment by an escort of our young men, the former companions of the deceased.
