Death of E. W. Robie.

After a long illness, E. W. Robie died at 12 30 p. m. Tuesday, Aug. 6. Mr. Robie has been a long time resident of Bradford but was born in Corinth. He was married (to) Jane J. Sawyer, Feb. 6, 18651, and answered President Lincoln's call for men three months later. When he returned from the war he went to farming and has followed the same ever since. He was a straight forward man in all his dealings and greatly respected by all. A wife, one son, Dr. W. F. Robie of Baldwinville, Mass., and a daughter, Mrs. F.A. Walker of this place, survive him. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon from his late home, Rev. A.H. Webb, officiating. The services were in charge of Washburn Post. G.A.R., of which Mr. Robie was a member.
