Obituary

DIED OF WOUNDS. - Lieut. James H. Thayer, son of Col. Ezra and Thirza Thayer, of Marlboro, died at the officers' hospital at Marietta, Georgia, October 8th, 1864, of a wound received at Atlanta on the 12th of August, 1864. He belonged to the 12th Wisconsin volunteers, and was a good officer and a noble man. His age was 31 years.
