Obituary

David Manley, who was an old soldier died at the home of his son-in-law, Mathew Cheney, Monday morning at 7 o'clock of cancer, in his 80th year.

Mr. Manley enlisted in Co. A. of the second Michigan Cavalry on Sept. 3, 1861, and was mustered out July 5, 1864, having served nearly four years. He was with Sherman on his famous march through Georgia.

The funeral was held at the Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 25, at 2 o'clock, with interent in Pine Hill cemetery.
