Northfield, July 25 --- Anson Adams, age 74 years died at his home on Pearl Street yesterday of illness lasting over a period of four years. For the past two weeks it was known that he could not live. and his death was looked for at any time.

Mr. Adams was long a resident of this town, and during the active part of his life he was a carpenter. He was a veteran of the Civil War and a member of the G. A. R. He is survived by a sister, Mis Fannie Adams of Pittsfield. The funeral will be held today, with burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
