Austin Gilman, aged 81, a veteran of the Civil War, passed away Nov. 12th at the Soldiers' home and the funeral was held from that institution at 2:30 Monday. Death was due to old age and natural causes. He had been an inmate of the home for about 10 years, entering from Derby. During the rebellion he served as a private in company G, 13th New Hampshire regiment. The G.A. R. burial service was used and the interment was made in the Soldiers' home cemetery.
