News & Citizen: NOV. 20, 1912

FUNERAL OF JAMES GARROW

The funeral for James Garrow, whose death from heart trouble occurred almost instantly last Friday morning at 5 o'clock at his home in Sterling, was held from the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. R.D. Cranmer of the Universalist Church officiating. The bearers were Bert Cole, Merton Chaffee, Ernest and Dave Bohannon. Interment was made in Mountain View Cemetery.

The deceased was born in Ticinderoga, N.Y. and was 67 years of age. He was married about six years ago to Emma Belding, who survives him.

Mr. Garrow was a Civil War veteran, having enlisted in Co. D., 5th N.Y. Cavalry at Plattsburg, N.Y., and was a prisoner for six months in Libby Prison.
