DEATH OF WILLIAM WALKER

William Walker who died last Tuesday was 74 years of age. He had been in poor health for many years because of a wound received in the Civil War. Mr. Walker was taken sick a few weeks ago with grippe and died of heart failure. He is survived by a wife, two sons, Jesse of Manchester, N.H., and Edward of Johnson, and seven grandchildre,

The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the Congregational Church. Rev.R.B. Ross officiated. The bearers were Jed Perkins, Leonard Hutchins, E.E. Holmes, and Perley Whiting.

Those from out of town were Jesse Walker, of Manchester N.H., Mr. and Mrs. Will Smith, Mr.and Mrs. Harry Smith, and Frank Smith of Stowe.
