Obituary

FUNERAL OF J. J. SMITH.

Veterans of the Civil War Attended in a Body.

The funeral of the late J. J. Smith was held at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon from the Congregational church, the Rev. F. A. Poole officiating. There was a good sized attendance of friends and relatives. Crandall Post, G. A. R., attended the service in a body. Music was furnished by Mrs. B. W. Braley and Miss Maude E. Harris. There were many beautiful floral tributes.

The pall bearers were William Haviland, C. E. White, Harvey Rowell and William Kenerson. The interment was in the family lot in Hope cemetery.
