Frank Safford, an old resident and civil war veteran, died at his home on River street Wednesday morning September 12, agd 83 years. Mr. Safford enlisted in company D, 21st Massachusetts regiment, was a member of C. J. Ormsbee Post G.A.R., and for many years janitor of the graded school building. The funeral was held at his late home Friday afternoon at two o'clock. Burial was in Pine Hill cemetery.
