Obituary

Riley R. Ross, a laborer living near East Fairfield, took an overdose of morphine Wednesday night, from which he died Thursday morning. It is not supposed that he intended to commit suicide; he had been in the habit of taking morphine to alleviate pain resulting from an injury in the war, and it is presumed that this was the motive on the fatal occasion. He was about 34 years old, and leaves a wife and several children.
