In brigade hospital, Fairfax, Va., of typhoid fever, on the 18th inst., Hiram C. Woolott (sic) of Co. E., 13th Reg, Vt. Vol. M., aged 31 years.

A friend of the deceased, writing home, says, "He was well taken care of during his sickness, and often visited by his officers. The burial was today, the 19th, and was attended by an escort of 12 men, and the regimental band, with all his company, together with many from other companies. He was neatly buried on a beautiful hill. His brother was comforted by the respect paid to his remains. Much credit is due his officers for the kindness shown him during his sickness.
