Austin V. Adams, who for several years a resident of this village, died at his home in Barnard last Saturday, the 14th, at the age of 62 years. Mr. Adams had been in feeble health for the past five years, and a part of the time he had been in a hospital, returning from there last July somewhat improved. A week ago he received a severe injury by a pile of wood falling upon him, and breaking his hip bone, which so shocked his system and affected his heart he died of heart failure.

He was a soldier of the war of the rebellion, a member of Co. E, 4th Vt. Vols., He leaves a wife, one son and a daughter, The funeral was held Tuesday. at his late residence.
