Loren D. Adams, a resident of this place for about two years, died of consumption, March 21, aged 52 years and 11 months. He has been a great sufferer with rheumatism for several years and was obliged to go about with two canes. He came here with his family fro Ayer about two years ago and has occupied the Phoenix boarding house since. He was born in Vermont, served in the war of rebellion in the 3rd Vermont battery and was a member of George S. Boutwell post No. 48, G.A.R. of Ayer. Members of the post took charge of the funeral at his late residence, Wednesday, and the interment was at Ayer. He leaves a wife and two small children.
