The body of William A. Albee, a veteran of the Civil War, and former resident of Barre, whose death occurred in Jericho Saturday, was brought to Barre Tuesday for interment in the family lot at Elmwood. Committal services were held in the afternoon.

In the years of his youth, Mr. Albee soldiered with one of the A. Companies in the Vermont volunteers, and afterwards enlisted in A. Company, United States Infantry.

He spent many years of his life in Barre, and is well remembered by older residents of the city.

The body was accompanied to Barre by F. G. Pease, who returned to his home in Jericho Tuesday evening.
