On the night of the 31st. Ult., the graveyard of Pliny Stowells entered by stealth, and the body of Corp. James W. Wallace exhumed and removed, causing no little excitement among our citizens. Strict search has been made, but no clue as yet obtained as to the whereabouts of the body or the perpetrators of the deed. (Hastings Conserver)
