Obituary

SUDBURY CIVIL WAR VETERAN DIED MONDAY

Sudbury, July 31. William Tupper, 81, died at the home of his son, Horace Tupper here Monday evening, after a short illness. He was born in Hague, N.Y., a son of Burnham and Susan Johnson Tupper and came to Sudbury 33 years ago. He was a veteran of the Civil War.

Mr. Tupper is survived by a son and two daughters, Horace Tupper, of this town and Mrs. George Griffin and Mrs. Grace Bucklin of Brandon, and two sisters, Mrs. Eliza O'Brien of Luzerne, N.Y., and E.R. Rising of Brandon. The funeral was held at the house this afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Walter Thorpe officiating. Burial was in Pine Hill cemetery, Brandon.
