Obituary

The funeral of W. J. Sheldon was held Sunday at his late residence, Rev. Mr. Bennett of South Londonderry conducting the service. Mr. Sheldon is survived by his wife and seven children, Burton of Scotia, N. Y., Mrs. Delbert Kendall of New York city, Mrs. Wilton Holt of Chester, Mrs. Harry Howard of Wardsboro, Miss Etta Sheldon of WInhall and Hoyt and Omer of this place, all of whom were present at the funeral. Among other friends and relatives present were Delbert Kendall and son of New York, Sumner and Charles Phillips of Putney, Mrs. Martha Shattuck of Putney, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shattuck of Westminster, Mr. and Mrs. Pettibone, Mr. and Mrs. Dench and Mrs, Stafford of Manchester, and Mrs. Helen Phillips of Putney. Mr. Sheldon was a veteran of the civil war, and has been a resident of Rawsonville for many years. Interment was in the Yearly cemetery to passers-by.
