John Stanley Ronald

St. Albans Daily Messenger, St. Albans, VT April 6, 1927

The death of John Stanley Ronald occurred at his home on Lower Newton st. last evening at 7:30 o'clock. Mr. Ronald was one of the oldest citizens of St. Albans, having been born in Edinburg, Scot., Feb. 14, 1832, therefore being 95 years old. He is survived by his wife, who is 92 years old. They have lived happily together in married life for 62 years. Besides his wife he is survived by one son, John W. Ronald, of this city, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was a member of the A. R. Hurlburt Post G.A.R. He was affiliated with Co. A, 97th division, New York, and gave three years in the service of his country.

The funeral will be held from St. Mary's church Friday morning at 9 o'clock, the Rev. J. J. Boyle officiating and burial will be in Mount Calvary cemetery.
