GEORGE TAYLOR DEAD--Beat Government out of $17,000 on Pension Fraud

Peoria, Ill. -March 23, George W. Taylor of upper Alton, a veteran of the Civil War, convicted a week ago of beating the government out of $17, 000, in pension fraud, sentenced to six months confinement, and fined $5, 000, is dead at the Peoria workhouse.
