Westfield---Napoleon Root died Thursday. He was 80 years old, and for a long time has been afflicted with a serious heart trouble. The funeral was held at the Catholic Church at Lowell Monday morning, preceded by a brief service at the house by Rev. M. W. Farman. Mr Root was an old soldier. He is survived by a wife and seven children.
