Obituary

John F. Hastings aged 73 years, a Civil War veteran, died of Bright's disease at the Memorial hospital, Brattleboro, Sunday. Mr. Hastings served in Company C, 25th Mass. Regt., and was a prisoner at Andersonville. He was a native of West Chesterfield, N. H. , and lived in Worcester, Mass., until after the war, when he went to Brattleboro, and was employed as a woodworker until a years ago. He is survived by his wife and one daughter.
