OLD SOLDIER PASSES AWAY
Cold in death, sitting in a chair near a table in his little shack on the north side of the track, William T. Gregory was found last Sunday. He had apparently been up and around that morning, had eaten breakfast, and was sitting reading when stricken down. He was an old soldier, 78 years old, and lived alone in his little shack at Beach, spending a great deal of his time at the soldiers home in Milwaukee, coming from there several months ago to spend the summer here.
His son, of Huron, S. Dak., arrived in time to attend the funeral. The deceased was a brother of John and Heman Gregory of Brenizer, and had many friends in the city, particularly among the old soldiers who grieve at the loss of their comrade.
