Obituary

WATERLOO VETERAN DEAD

Albert R. Goss, aged 70 years, of Waterloo, died at the Soldiers Home at 9:15 this morning of lobar pneumonia. Mr. Goss had been a member of the Home since June 2, 1908.

He was born in Vermont Jan. 5, 1839. He enlisted in Company E. Fifth Iowa Infantry at Independence on July 15, 1861. He was discharged July 30, 1864 at Chattanooga, Tenn., at the expiration of his term of enlistment.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Charity Goss, and three sons and two daughters. The latter are, D. H. Goss, Charles R. Goss,, and O. R. Goss, and Mrs. Alice Potts, of Waterloo, and Mrs. Inez Goss of Independence. The relatives have been notified, but no funeral arrangements have been made yet.
