GUTHRIE VETERAN DEAD:
EDWARD G. STOWELL MEMBER OF HOME, DIES OF PARALYSIS
Paralysis caused the death this morning at 7: 40, at the Soldiers Home hospital, of Edward Stowell, who came to the Home April 17 from Guthrie Center.
Mr. Stowell was born in Woodstock, Vermont, May 6, 1832, and enlisted in Company A., Nineth-second New York Infantry, Oct. 10, 1861 at Potsdam, N. Y. He was discharged Jan. 7, 1865 at Albany, N. Y., with the rank of Second Lieutenant.
Mr. Stowell was a widower, and leaves one son, W. H. Stowell of Des Moines, who was with his father at the time of his death, and who took the body, this morning to Guthrie Center for interment.
