Remarks: Illinois Adj. Gen. archives says died in Danville, KY of scorbutus, however, gravestone says Danville, VA - and register of deaths of volunteers says Danville, VA, and cause of death variola (smallpox), recorded by a Confederate surgeon, seeming to indicate he was a pow at Danville - but that's not reflected in his record.
