Alphonzo Barrows, long a resident of Burlington, died at his home Saturday evening at 11:20 o'clock. He was born in Wallingford, October 19, 1838, the son of Augustus and Maria Warner Barrows.
He is well known in this city,especially by members of the G.R.R. He served three years in the Civil War enlistig September 23, 1861, in this city. He was a member of Company B., First Vermont Cavalry, and also a member of Stannard Post, G.A.R.
The funeral services will be held at his late residence Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with interment in the family lot at Lake View cemetery.
