George M. Barton

Funeral services for George M. Barton, who died at the Homeopathic hospital, November 19, were held at his late residence, 189 Western avenue, Tuesday at 2 p.m., being conducted by Rev. Dr. Bicknell, followed by the G. A. R. service by post 30, G. A. R. The deceased was a veteran of the Civil War, serving under General Grant with the third Vermont battery, Light artillery, and was a member of the Cambridge commandery of Knights Templars, Royal Arch Chapter and Mount Olivet lodge. He is survived by a widow and one son. Interment was at Cambridge cemetery.
