DEATH OF AGED VETERAN
Jacob V. Barton, aged 93 years, a veteran of the Civil War and a much respected citizen, suffered a shock Saturday night, from the effects of which he died Sunday afternoon at 1:30. He is survived by one son, Rev. James Barton, D.D., and two daughters, Mrs. Benton of North Ferrisburg, and Miss Ida V. Barton, who has very tenderly cared for him in his declining years.
Funeral services were held at 2 0'clock this afternoon from the Methodist Church, Re, C.D. Pierce of Craftsbury officiated, assisted by Rev. A.A. Mandigo. Interment was in the family lot in Lamoille View Cemetery.
