At Hospital near Gold Mill, May 10th, from wounds received May 5th, George F. Bemis, aged 42 years.

He enlisted from Hartford in Co. F, 3d Vt. Vols., at first and re-enlisted last January in the same. He was formerly from Troy, N.H.

Dearest husband how we miss thee,
And our home is filled with gloom,
For the one we loved is sleeping,

In a cold and silent tomb.
