George W. Bickford

St. Johnsbury Caledonian-Record, June 6, 1906

George W. Bickford died at Woodford May 31, aged 83 years. He was an inmate of the soldiers' home, but was absent on furlough. He enlisted in Co. A, 4th Vt. Vols., in the Civil war, was discharged on account of illness, recovered, reenlisted in the 1st Vt. Cav., and rose to the rank of corporal. He had been town clerk and treasurer of Woodford for 30 years.
