W. E. Bicknell, a veteran of the Civil war, died at his home on Garfield street Friday morning, after a long illness. He is survived by a widow and four sons, Clayton of Lincoln, Benjamin of Alva, Okla., and Oscar and Roy of this town; two daughters, Mrs. Ransom Benedict of Middlebury and Mrs. Leon Cushman of Oklahoma. The funeral was held at his late home on Garfield street Sunday afternoon at two o'clock.
