Levi Blanchard, a life-long resident of this town, died at his home near Stony Brook Saturday very suddenly, after a short illness of about ten days, at the age of 71 years. He was a soldier of Co. H, 16th Vermont regiment, in 1861. Mr. Blanchard was twice married. He is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs. Warren Pratt, Mrs. Fred Reynolds, Miss Dora Blanchard and George, all of this town. Funeral was held Monday at one o'clock at the Stony Brook church, and burial under the auspices of the G.A.R., of which Mr. Blanchard was a member, was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. The bearers were G. H. Martin, O. N. Harrington, E. C. Hager and J. S. Williamson. Rev. W. C. Boutwell officiated.
