Charles Bowles, one of the leading business men of Woodford, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Fred Stone, Saturday morning, after a week's illness with pneumonia.
Mr. Bowles was born in Woodford, Oct. 20, 1842, and had always lived here, with the exception of three years as soldier in the Civil war.
Funeral was held in the Ferndale church Monday at 1 o'clock.
An energetic man has passed away.
