VT9 - Albert's VT9/ Tice VT230 - The standard Vermont Civil War button, these were worn early in the war on state issued uniforms. While there are a number of known war time backmarks, the Scovill mark with the recessed mark in a depressed channel is by far the one most recovered by relic hunters in various campsites/battlefields.
