Circular No. 3, dated Burlington, May 1, 1913, contains a listing of the membership of the Vermont Commandery of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States. That listing includes Commandery Numbers (a number assigned by the Vermont Commandery), and Insignia Number (assigned at the national level), for members, and casualty lists by reason of death, transfer, resignation or being dropped from the roll (noted as n.p.d. - for not paying dues?).
Captain Urban A. Woodbury, late of the 2nd and 11th Vermont Volunteer Infantry regiments as well as former governor (1894-1896), was a Council-in-Chief at the national level of the organization.
