The FIRST COMPANY OF SHARP SHOOTERS were consolidated on the twenty-third of December, by order of the War Department, with the Second Company of Sharp SHooters. No report of their movements and operations from Sept. 30, 1864, to that date has been received. The casualties and changes among enlisted men have been as follows:--Discharged, 4; died, 4; transferred to Second Regiment U. S. Sharp Shooters, 34; total, 42.

The SECOND and THIRD COMPANIES OF SHARP SHOOTERSserved with the Army of the Potomac, as during the previous year, until the twenty-fifth of February, 1865, when they were transferred to the Fourth Regiment Vermont Volunteers, and became Companies G and H of that regiment. On the twenty-sixth of October, 1864, they marched to near the Danville Railroad, where they were in a severe engagement with the enemy, having six men wounded. No other report of their movements or operations have been received. The following statement shows the condition and station of the SECOND COMPANY at the several dates specified:
