Mr. Melvin Church
Dear Sir:
Your letter was duly received some time since. And I regret that it has been overlooked until the present.
Mr. Frey who I believe assisted Cpt. Blake in finding the grave of your son, says that he was not employed by Mr. Foof in November. But Mr. Hiram Warren says that he was employed by him that they worked faithfully for one day without success, and that he charged him $2.00 for his services.
Yours respectfully,
David Wills
