Tompstone inscription: Ben Robinson of African Descent. Born a Slave in North Carolina. Escaped to Freedom by the aid of Co. G 9th Vt. Reg. in 1863, and brought to Vermont by Lieut. Wm. C. Holman in 1865. Died in Randolph, Vt. May 31, 1919. Aged 60 Years.
