Vermonters Who Served in Other States' Units
New York

This particular group of people, native Vermonters who served in New York regiments, number over 700 men. Some were the inevitable casualties of war, some returned to New York or Vermont after the war, others spread out all over the country.

Since the focus of our detailed study is organized units from Vermont, we will only mention these soldiers' units and personal information, and attempt to locate their final resting places for the Sons of Union Veterans Cemetery Database Project.

NOTE: This is a work in progress.
