Local Matters

Another Soldier Gone: -- We regret to learn of the death of Dr. L. F. Thompson, late of Claremont township, in this county. He died of small pox at St. Louis. Dr. Thompson enlisted in Company B, 10th Regiment, and on its arrival at St. Louis, was appointed Hospital Steward in the regular army. His loss will be mourned by a large circle of friends and acquaintances.
