Obituary

The remains of Nelson Brown, who died in Pittsfield, Aug. 3, from the effects of a shock, were brought to this village Friday for interment in Southview cemetery. With the body came the widow, the four sons, John Brown of Pittsfield, Vernon and Warren of Newark, N.J., and Ray of Poultney; the daughter Mrs. Edna Ray of Newark; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Vernon Brown, and the step-children, Ethel Meacham of Pittsfield, Frank and Belle Meacham of Roxbury. The funeral party was met here by two brothers and two sisters of the deceased, J. N. Brown of Randolph, Bradford Brown of Gileaad, Mrs. Sarah Davis from Bethel and Mrs. James Kennedy of Granville. Rev. Mr. Hazelton, a Methodist pastor of Pittsfield, officiated at the burial service.
