BIOGRAPHY

WILLIAM P. CALVERT enlisted at Colchester, at 22 years of age in Company D, August, 1862. He was a quiet man and a good soldier, though lacking in those qualities that made his brother Thomas popular with his comrades, he was a straight and true man. He served the full term and was discharged with the regiment at Brattleboro. After the war he lived in Colchester and died at Winooski many years ago.
