Obituary

Mr. George Church died at his residence in St. Albans, Tuesday evening, after an illness of several months of consumption, aged 44 years. He was an excellent printer, and for several years was employed in the FREE PRESS office. From 1858 to 1861 he was one of the proprietors of the St. Albans Democrat. He served in Co. I, 10th Vermont regiment in the war of the Rebellion, from Sept. 1, 1862 to June 22, 1865, and was mustered out as sergeant major.
