Obituary

WEST BERLIN
John Coburn Died Thursday, After Long Illness
John Coburn passed away last Thursday morning after a long illness. He was nearly a lifelong resident in this place, and is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Will Scott of Barre and Mrs. Joseph Thibault, who kindly cared for her father at his home in his last illness. There are also several grandchildren.

Mr. Coburn served in Co. K, 7th Vermont regiment, in the Civil war and was nearly 80 years old. He was station agent and mail messenger for several years in this place.

Funeral services were held at his late home Sunday afternoon, Rev. W. S. Smithers officiating, and burial was in the family lot in the cemetery in this village.
