Sudden Death of Dr. Adolphus Cushman, Former Resident

LINCOLN, Dec. 27. - Word was received of the sudden death of Dr. Adolphus Cushman in Rutland. Dr. Cushman was 84 years of age. He was a veteran of the Civil War and a practicing physician in this town for many years. A few months ago he went to Rutland to reside with his daughter, Mrs. Joseph Barrett. Besides Mrs. Barrett he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. B. J. Gove of Springfield and a son, Arthur J., of this town, besides several grandchildren. The remains were brought here Wednesday aand funeral services were held Thursday in the Methodist Church.
